About This Dog

Ace's ideal home

Ace is a bright, bouncy 4-month-old pup with lots of potential and even more personality. Since arriving in care, he’s been friendly and curious with people, though he’s shown some typical puppy behaviours such as humping when overstimulated and mouthing during excitement. He’s had a moment of lunging behaviour, which will be discussed in more detail with potential adopters, but overall he's a sweet boy who's just learning how to navigate the world. Ace thrives on positive reinforcement, especially if treats or toys are involved, and although he’s full of energy, he also enjoys a cuddle when he’s feeling calm and less overwhelmed.

Could you be Ace's perfect match?

Ace is looking for a committed, dog-savvy home that can support him through all aspects of puppy training. He has high energy and will need a private, secure garden to help with toilet training, loose-lead walking, and general puppy play. While he’s not yet had the chance to mix with other dogs due to his vaccination status, he has lived with another dog before and could potentially do so again, depending on introductions. He cannot live with cats or small furries and would be best suited to a home with older teens aged 16+ who can handle his puppy enthusiasm and give him space when needed. Ace cannot be left alone at this stage, so he needs a home where someone is around throughout the day to help him settle and learn. With time, patience, and consistent training, Ace has all the makings of a brilliant lifelong companion.
