Hagrid is the most handsome boy ever! He’s very shy to start off with and won’t want to be around young children, but could live with sensible teenagers. They just need to be able to give him time and space to feel brave enough to show his playful, sweet side. Hagrid really gains confidence meeting and playing with other dogs and therefore must live with a dog in his new home. They’ll still have to meet in centre to check that they all get on before adoption, but Hagrid will be much happier with a doggy friend to show him the ropes. As he’s a worried soul who still isn’t sure about most things, including traffic, he’ll want a secure garden of his own and access to quiet walks.

Hagrid is less than year old and came into our care after being found as a stray. He’s a magnificent chap and although very shy to begin with, he blossoms into an affectionate, goofy and playful boy once he’s comfortable. As a young lad with potentially no experience of living in a home before he’ll need a helping hand with his basic training. Housetraining should just be a quick refresher though, as he has been very good with this in kennels. Things like being left alone and car travel will benefit from gradual introductions, making them positive experiences. He does settle in his kennel though, so we think will be ok be left for a bit once he’s settled. If you’ve got space in your heart and home for a dog like Hagrid then add him as a favourite today.
