Cooper
About This Dog
Cooper's ideal home
Cooper is a handsome 7-year-old crossbreed with a gentle soul and a heart full of love, searching for a forever home alongside his best friend Milo. These two are the very best of buddies and would love to find a family where they can continue their adventures together.
Cooper’s favourite thing in the world is heading out on his walks, where he can take in every exciting sniff and interesting smell along the way. He also loves zooming around the secure field, enjoying a good run and stretching his legs. When the adventures are over, Cooper is more than happy to settle down with a tasty treat — especially if chicken is involved! A sure-fire way to win this lovely boy over is through his stomach, and he can often be found happily entertaining himself with a Kong stuffed full of his favourite goodies.
Cooper already knows some lovely manners including sit, down, and paw, is good in the car, and is used to being left for around five hours. He is housetrained, although he may need a little reminder and patience as he settles into a new routine in his forever home.
Once Cooper gets that bond he becomes incredibly affectionate and adores fuss, cuddles, and spending quality time with his people. He could live with children aged 6+ who understand the importance of giving him space when he needs it.
If you’re looking for two loyal companions to fill your home with love, laughter, and plenty of cuddles, Cooper and Milo could be the perfect pair for you.
Could you be Cooper's perfect match?
This dog is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
