About This Dog

Milo's ideal home

Meet handsome Milo, a lovable 6-year-old crossbreed searching for a forever home alongside his best friend, Cooper. This sweet boy has so much love to give and is ready to find a family who will adore him just as much as he’ll adore them.

Milo’s favourite thing in the world is heading out on his walks and having a good run around off lead in secure fields, where he can really stretch his legs and enjoy himself. The only thing he’s not too keen on? The rain! Milo would much rather stay cosy and dry indoors than brave a soggy walk.

In his previous home, Milo lived with young children and could potentially live with children aged 6+ who understand the importance of giving him space when he needs it. He’s a gentle, affectionate boy who blossoms once he gets to know you, rewarding his people with plenty of cuddles and fuss.

Milo is housetrained and has been comfortable being left for around 5 hours, although he may need a little refresher as he settles into a new routine and environment. To keep himself entertained, he loves a tasty Kong and enjoys tossing soft toys around during playtime.

He’s also a very clever boy who travels well in the car and already knows “sit” and “paw” — especially if there’s a tasty treat involved!

If you’re looking for two best friends to brighten your days, Milo and Cooper could be the perfect pair for you.

Could you be Milo's perfect match?

This dog is currently being rehomed under our Homestay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Homestay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
