Layla's ideal home
Layla is looking for a quiet home with minimal visitors, especially to begin with, with adopters who will take her on exploring adventures and who understand that it will take time for her to settle in and feel safe in her new home. She is looking for adopters who can take her to quieter walking areas, so she can explore and sniff at her leisure. She can live with children aged 14 years and over who understand that she may need time and space while she builds her confidence, they can read when she is uncomfortable and give her space when she needs it. Layla is a girl who appreciates her space and can be a little worried by other dogs, so is looking to be the only pet in the home, although she could have calm and polite walking buddies who will give her the space she needs it. Layla has a little training under her belt, she knows her name and does a lovely “sit”, she could be willing learning something new once she has had time to settle into her new home and feels comfortable, she is housetrained but may need a refresher on her house training. A home with a private, secure garden with 6 foot fencing is needed. Layla may be able to be left alone for up to 1-2 hours, but this should be introduced slowly once she has had time to get used to her new home and routine and would ideally be after a walk so she can relax and have a snooze! Layla will need to meet her adopters multiple times prior to going home and may need home visits so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 – 10 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Sweet lady Layla is a 7 year old Husky Cross, who is a little shy to begin with. She loves to chill out on the sofa or sit in a spot of sunshine and watch the world go by, she likes a gentle ear scratch and will wander off when she has had enough. Layla does like her toys when she is comfortable in her surroundings, she particularly likes squeaky toys and can get quite excited chasing them around. This lovely girl is looking for a family to love and care for her.
