About This Dog for Adoption

Shadow's ideal home

Super Shadow is on the search for his forever home with adopters who are ready for an active dog and want to get stuck into training. He can struggle when being left and therefore would benefit from his adopters being around for most of the day to help him settle in and learn that being left for short periods of time shouldn’t be scary. Shadow has shown to guard his food at times so space when enjoying his food is a must. Shadow is looking to be the only dog in the home but would be happy to have walking friends. He can live with separated small furries. Shadow can live with older primary school aged children in the home. He would like a private and secure garden to enjoy with his family.

Could you be Shadow's perfect match?

Shadow is a sweet boy who adores going on adventures with his favourite people. He is a fun and clever boy who loves to get stuck into training. He currently knows his name, sit, paw and has good recall. Shadow enjoys his treats and will take them gently from your hand. He hasn’t shown interest in toys and much prefers spending quality time with his favourite people. Shadow enjoys gentle fuss and will come over to you for attention and love. He is a wonderful boy who is sure to bring lots of joy to his forever family.

Husky Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Siberian Husky.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Siberian Husky Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
