Blue's ideal home

Blue is looking for a loving adult-only home as the only pet and walks away from livestock, as he does have a high chase drive. He can walk with other dogs once introduced but he will need to continue working on his social skills as he can be a bit too full-on for some. Blue can be shy at first; once he knows a person he is loving and affectionate but too many strangers coming and going can be scary so he needs a quiet home with a regular routine. Blue finds children particularly worrying. He's been trained to wear a muzzle when he's out and about. Blue is a high-energy dog and would love a home where he can have long hikes and adventures and a garden where he can play ball. He can be left home alone (he uses this as an opportunity to doze!) and he's a bright spark who would enjoy learning new skills once he's settled.

Blue is a handsome Husky cross Shepherd. He is loving and affectionate with the people that he knows and trusts but it can take time to build a bond so new adopters must be willing to visit the centre several times to get to know him before taking him home. After a difficult start to life, Blue has come on in leaps and bounds under our care so we know that he can meet new people and dogs if this is done in a consistent way. He now has a great relationship with his handlers and we can show you how to transition this to a home environment. Blue shows many Husky traits, including liking the sound of his own voice at times, so some knowledge of the breed would be beneficial.
