About This Dog for Adoption

Amarok's ideal home

Amarok is looking for a home where he can enjoy plenty of company and affection. He is a social and adaptable boy who has experience living with other dogs, cats, and children of all ages. He would be just as happy as the only pet or sharing his space with furry friends. While he settles well when left alone for short periods, he thrives in a home where he gets plenty of interaction and companionship. A secure outdoor space would be a bonus, but it is not essential. Regular walks and mental stimulation will keep this clever lad happy.

Could you be Amarok's perfect match?

If you are looking for a gentle and affectionate companion, Amarok might be your perfect match! He enjoys human company and will come in for fuss, though he likes to take his time getting to know new people. He loves to travel in the car and loves watching the world go by from the boot. He is playful when the mood strikes, occasionally enjoying squeaky toys and tennis balls, but his true joys in life are walks, car rides, and a tasty hot dog. He must be kept on a lead in public and around other animals, and his new home should continue providing gentle guidance to help him feel at his best. If you have a comfy sofa and a place in your heart for a loyal, easygoing companion, Amarok would love to meet you!

This dog is currently being rehomed under our Home Stay scheme. Under this scheme, the dog stays with their current owner until the point of adoption, when ownership transfers briefly to Dogs Trust and then to the new adopters. The benefits of Home Stay for a dog are that it minimises disruption and prevents the dog having to come into kennels, however there is the potential the owner may pull out of the scheme prior to adoption. We understand the upset this may cause to potential adopters, and we work closely with owners to minimise the likelihood of this. However, it remains a possibility, and should this occur, Dogs Trust will prioritise finding adopters an alternative suitable dog.
