Dexter's ideal home
Dexter is a 9 month old Collie X Husky looking for a fairly active home. He is a fun-loving boy who likes the opportunity to go on walks and explore. He could join a home with children of Older Primary School age who are confident around bouncy dogs as he may jump up when excited. Dexter will need to be the only dog in his new home but could have some doggy friends to socialise with on walks and learn from. He has been around horses and sheep previously as could join a home with livestock providing initial introductions are well managed. Dexter will need someone with him most of the time initially, once settled, leaving hours will need to be built up slowly at a pace he is comfortable with. Dexter is a high energy boy and will need his own private garden to provide direct access to a space for training and play. He has previously struggled living in smaller property so is looking for a home where he can have space to move around and the choice of multiple rooms to be in.

Dexter is a delightful boy who at 9months old is still very much a pup. He knows “sit” and “down” and would benefit from continuing his training to learn new skills in his new home such as walking on a loose lead and building confidence with dog interactions. He will make a wonderful companion to his new family.
