About This Dog for Adoption

Bluey's ideal home

Bluey is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, provide him with fun and mentally stimulating enrichment to keep his clever brain busy and give him all of the love and care he deserves. He is a friendly bean who can live with secondary school children who understand that he is a bouncy boy and can be a little clumsy, children who can play with him nicely and will give him space to rest when he needs. Bluey could live with another playful dog who doesn’t mind an intense greeting, this will be pending successful meetings at the centre, living with another dog is not a necessity, he would be happy with friendly and playful walking buddies. Bluey has some training under his belt, he does a lovely “sit” and paw”, he also knows his name, he is a super smart boy and is happy to engage in training in short, sweet sessions with the help of a tasty treat for encouragement. He is looking for a home with a private, secure garden with high fencing for him to potter about and explore in. Bluey can settle in the home in short intervals if kept busy with toys and enrichment, so could be left for up to 1-2 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle in. Bluey will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Bluey's perfect match?

Beautiful & busy boy Bluey is a 1 and a half year old Husky cross who loves exercise and mental stimulation. He would be the perfect adventure buddy for an active family. He is a big fan of toys, balls and soft toys in particular, he will chase and bound around after them, but rarely brings them back. He is an independent boy who likes to come to you for fusses at his leisure, he will happily sit next to you and have neck scratches, he will then wander off when he is done. This fab lad is on the hunt for his new home.
