Monty's ideal home

Monty can live with a calm dog and children of high school age. We have no history for him and cannot guarantee that he is house trained but he is clean in his kennel and does seem to have had some basic training. Monty travels well in the car.

Monty has made a big impression since he arrived at new year and has quickly become a favourite of his handlers. He's a very friendly and easy going boy who has settled well despite his unfamiliar surroundings, and he just loves attention. He loves to go out for walks and has almost pushed past his carers in his keenness to get out! Monty walks well on his lead for the most part but does get excited to see other dogs and will pull to get to them, so his adopters must be confident at handling him on his lead. He's great with other dogs and introduces himself politely, going into a play bow if he thinks it's appropriate. he mixes well off lead and will walk away if the other dog is too boisterous. We think he'd like to live with another calm pal who won't be too OTT and demanding to play. Monty loves his treats and food, and he's a little on the skinny side just now, so he's getting a little extra. He sits nicely and seems to have had some basic training. He's a smart young man who is going to make a perfect new family member.
