About This Dog

Stevie's ideal home

Beautiful Stevie is an 8 month old Husky who is on the search for a forever home. This lovely girlie is full of fun, love and life and is ready to be someone's new best friend. Stevie is a friendly girl, who loves meeting everyone when she's out and about on her walkies. Due to her friendly nature she could share her new home with any age children following a meeting here at the centre. Stevie is a social butterfly and loves making doggy pals too, so could share her home with another playful dog and is currently living with a cat which is she could do again following gradual introductions. Stevie has been left for short periods and has been used to being crated, so we recommend this is gradually built up as she settles into her new home. She's also been mostly housetrained, but as she's still a youngster so will need continued support in this area.

Could you be Stevie's perfect match?

Stevie really is a super sweet girl, but is still a youngster so will need gentle guidance and continued training as she settles into home life. This will include things such as loose lead walking, basic obedience and recall training. We think she'd probably love access to a hired secure field where she can zoom and run around. This dog is being rehomed through our Homestay scheme, staying with their current owner until a new home is found. At the point of adoption, ownership briefly transfers to Dogs Trust and then to the new family. Homestay helps avoid the stress of kennels and allows the dog to remain settled at home. In rare cases, the current owner may withdraw. While we work hard to reduce this risk, it can happen. If it does, Dogs Trust will support potential adopters by prioritising them for another suitable dog.
