About This Dog for Adoption

Lacey's ideal home

Sweet and independent girl Lacey is a 7 year old Husky/German Shepherd cross who likes to take her time to get to know new people. Once a bond is built she is s a cheeky, fun, and loyal companion. She loves to play, teddies and raggys are her favourite, she will happily bound around after them and throw them up in the air. Once she is comfortable with you Lacey will nudge your hand for a fuss and will lean in for more, head scratches are her favourite. This top girl is on the hunt for her new home.

Could you be Lacey's perfect match?

Lacey is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take her on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help her settle in and give her all the love and attention she deserves. She is a friendly bean but does need a little time to get to know people at her pace so could live with older secondary school children who are confident around a large dog, who can play with her nicely and will give her space to rest when needed. Lacey could live with another dog who will happily co-exist with her and engage in occasional play, this will be pending successful meetings at the centre, living with another dog is not a necessity, she would love to have friendly walking buddies. Lacey is a clever girl and already has some training under her belt, she does a lovely “sit” and “paw”, she is eager to engage in training if a tasty treat is on offer. She would like a home with a private, secure garden for her to potter about and play in. Lacey can settle in the home with the help of some enrichment and toys to keep her busy, she could be left for up to 1-2 hours, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once she has had time to settle into her new home. Lacey will need to meet her adopters a few times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet her within 48hrs of being shortlisted.
