About This Dog for Adoption

Malakai's ideal home

Meet Malakai, a wonderful 9 year old Husky with the most friendly nature! Malakai is dog social so would love a friend either to live with or out and about on walks, he has previously lived with a young dog so he definitely has a playful nature despite his age! Being a husky he has a voice and can howl if left for long periods, so ideally he is looking for a home where his owners are home majority of the time and can build up any time left alone over time, although he has been known to enjoy a bit of classical music if left alone! . Malakai can live with sensible children as young as 4 that are comfortable with larger bouncier dogs as he has previously lived with young children. Malakai is the best boy, loves a car ride, squeaky toys, cuddles and his food so is a perfect boy ready for a loving home! He's a sweet angel that loves to play games, learn tricks, go on some nice sniffy walks and plenty of love from his people! He loves everyone he meets so is a social butterfly out and about and in the home so we expect him to be snapped up very soon!

Could you be Malakai's perfect match?

Malakai came into our care no fault of his own and although is on the older side, he doesn't act it! He's looking to have lots of love, someone home most of the day and plenty of enrichment to keep him mentally stimulated as well as adventures in the car for days out! He can be strong on the lead being a big boy so someone who can manage him if he does pull! He is housetrained and will let you know if he needs to go out, so once he is settled and has a routine, we are sure he will continue this in his new home! He's an all round amazing boy keen to have a sofa to call his own! You might see his fur looks a bit uneaven towards his back end but this was just where he was shaved and treated for some sore skin, which is nearly resolved with some medicated baths twice a week and he's on a sensitive diet until completely resolved!
