About This Dog for Adoption

Cilla's ideal home

Cilla is looking for a home where she can be the only pet and where any children are over the age of 14. She is house trained and once settled could be left for around 2 - 3 hours without worry. Cilla is a sweet and affectionate girl but can be a little worried initially so will need adopters who are understanding that she will likely need a few visits here at the centre to build a strong bond before going home.

Could you be Cilla's perfect match?

Cilla is a sweet but nervous girl who is steadily finding her feet here in kennels. She has been very much enjoying slowly investigating all the different walking areas, and happily following wherever her nose takes her! She has taken a little time to build some bonds with her handlers, but now that she has she greets them readily with a wagging tail and leans in for extra fuss. Cilla will need her own safe space in her new home where she can be left to rest peacefully and not be disturbed suddenly as this does frighten her. Cilla will happily have walking friends out and about however she will need to be the only pet in the home as she can get fed up if they are in her space for too long. Cilla already knows lots of basic tricks but would benefit from finding a family who can build on this and help her with confidence building.

Husky Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Siberian Husky.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Siberian Husky Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
