About This Dog for Adoption

Alfie's ideal home

Alfie is an excitable, inquisitive lad on the search to find his forever home. His new pad will need to be of a calming one with minimal comings and goings as he can find new faces worrying initially. Adopters who are happy to continue training and willing to take things at his pace will be great. Everyone in the home will need to be over the age of 16yrs. Alfie has previously been good with house training so should just need a refresher with this. Once all settled in, he should be fine for spending the odd hour on his own. Alfie mixes well with other dogs and may live with another doggy friend that appreciates his playstyle. He could also share the home with a cat who is used to being around dogs.

Could you be Alfie's perfect match?

Alfie is an amazing lad who adores the people he knows well. It can take a little time for him to fully warm up, but after a couple of walks and some treats, you’ll be welcomed into his club. He’s affectionate and leans in for attention and even enjoys a groom. Alfie loves a good run around and exploring when out and about. He’ll be up for going further a field too as he travels well in the car.

Husky Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Siberian Husky.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Siberian Husky Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
