About This Dog for Adoption

Connie's ideal home

Connie is a lovely, 4 year old Akita cross who loves a fuss with her favourite people! She is looking for an experienced home that can keep up her positive training and give her all the love she deserves! Connie is definitely a staff favourite here and loves to give her handlers lots of kisses! She can be reactive when seeing dogs in the distance but has been working hard; her training is coming along so well! She has definitely improved since being here and will need this to be kept up in the home! Connie is patiently waiting for her forever family where she can settle in and receive lots of love!

Could you be Connie's perfect match?

Connie’s home will need to be adult only and have a good-sized garden that is fully enclosed to allow her to have zoomies in! She does love her toys, but has shown some resource guarding over them, so advice will be given from our training team on how to manage this. She has been doing lots of training here and is learning to drop and swap her toys! It would be beneficial for Connie to live in a more rural setting, so she has plenty of quiet areas to walk in. Connie is a gem and in the right home – she will be an amazing addition.

Husky Puppy Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Siberian Husky.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Siberian Husky Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
